Accident Rehab is an independent health professional led rehabililtation and case management facilitator.
With over 30 years in the experience working in the personal injury rehabilitation at Accident Rehab we understand that the key to successful rehabilitation is the early identificiation of a person’s needs and making sure that they are allocated the most appropriately qualified health professionals to assist with their recovery.
At Accident Rehab we understand the pressure for early and accurate settlement of lower value claims and the importance of getting right Case Manager for multi-track and catastrophic cases, which is why we offer our unique rehabilitation triage product FastAssess.
We adhere to the requirements of the Rehabilitation Code of Best Practice 2015 and work within the guidelines of the PAS 150, Providing Rehabilitation Services Code of Practice.
All the health professionals we work with adhere registered with the requirements of their Governing Bodies, have a minimum of 2 years experience working in the NHS and a minimum of 12 months experience in the Personal Injury sector.
All Case Managers are either members of the Case Management Society of the UK (CMSUK), The Vocational Rehabilitation Association (VRA) or The British Association of Brain Injury Case Manager’s (BABICM).
Helen Spillards –Director
Helen is an experienced Rehabilitation Case Manager who has worked in the Personal Injury sector for over 15 years. Helen trained is a qualified nurse who trained at Thames Valley University and then worked in a triage unit at a Nurse in London’s Charing Cross Hospital. In 2000, Helen left the NHS and went to work for a large insurer as Case Manager and went on to the manager of their Norther Offices. In 2004 she left the insurance company and set up a small rehabilitation company with a couple of colleagues.
Helen’s case management skills include triage, soft tissue injuries, trauma and Orthopaedics injuries, pain management and psychological barriers, which include those preventing people from returning to work.
Helen was involved in the developement of the first Master’s degree in Case Management in the UK and was a Director of the CMSUK until November 2009.
